Any insight into why it won't let you use treatment? That's supposed to heal all injuries.

There is a hard cap on the number of injuries you can have and that is definitely way past it.

I noticed I also don't seem to be able to create field medicine. Should there be some way to do so? I bought the second medical upgrade.

If you mean first-aid kits those are for much later game and a work in progress
