Usage

Quick start

You can publish this application with Github Actions.

  1. Please fork this repository

  2. Please create / copy USER key. You can create a key here and The USER key sould be generated for master acccount.

  3. Please create "Github Repository secret (Settings > Secrets > New repository secret)" Name=NR_USER_KEY Value=${YOUR USER KEY}

  4. Only first time, Please execute "Publish New Relic Application" action. This task every time failed but you can ignore failure.

Overview

N+1 problem shooting allows you to finding out transaction candidate which have N+1 problems or calling too many same queries

You can improve application related with N+1 problem quickly and efficiently

Dependencies

Requires usage of any New Relic product to make data available via NerdGraph or NRDB. The more the better.

Getting started

  1. Ensure that you have Git and NPM installed. If you're unsure whether you have one or both of them installed, run the following command. (If you have them installed these commands will return a version number, if not, the commands won't be recognized.)

    git --version
    npm -v
  2. Install the New Relic One CLI by going to this link and following the instructions (5 minutes or less) to install and set up your New Relic development environment.

  3. Run the following command to clone this repository and run the code locally against your New Relic data:

    nr1 nerdpack:clone -r https://github.com/newrelickk/nr1-np1-shooter.git
    cd nr1-np1-shooter
    nr1 nerdpack:serve

Visit https://one.newrelic.com/?nerdpacks=local, navigate to the Nerdpack, and โœจ

Deploying this Nerdpack

Open a command prompt in the Nerdpack's directory,and run the following commands.

# To create a new uuid for the nerdpack so that you can deploy it to your account:
# nr1 nerdpack:uuid -g [--profile=your_profile_name]

# To see a list of APIkeys / profiles available in your development environment:
# nr1 profiles:list

nr1 nerdpack:publish [--profile=your_profile_name]
nr1 nerdpack:deploy [-c [DEV|BETA|STABLE]] [--profile=your_profile_name]
nr1 nerdpack:subscribe [-c [DEV|BETA|STABLE]] [--profile=your_profile_name]
