roommates's Introduction

Roommates

This mod allows multiple NPCs to occupy one room.

Configuration:

  • Require a chair for each roommate, default: off (also works with modded chairs, thanks CatJet)
  • Maximum number of Roommates, default: 0 (no limit)

NPCs can move into occupied houses by themselves.

roommates's Issues

CountChairs() doesn't check the last row & column

I've noticed that with the "Chair for every Roommate" option enabled, chairs that only occupy either the lowest row or right-most column in the house don't count to the chair total. This is because the check aborts one tile short of WorldGen.roomX2 & Y2, ignoring the last column & row.

A simple change from "<" to "<=" for both x & y fixes this and is done via the Pull Request I'm going to create right now.

Add compatibility with modded chairs

Mods that add chairs by adding them to the TileID.Sets.RoomNeeds.CountsAsChair array (for example, Thorium) aren't included in the CountChairs() check as that only checks if the tile type is in the TileID.Chairs array, making houses that use those modded chairs invalid once the config option 'requireChairs' is turned on.
