I reverted to the previous dfu_init_template included with SDK9->

softdevice_information->firmware_id
goes to
SD_FWID_GET(MBR_SIZE)

I'd be curious to hear if you have any comments about this and if it may be an acceptable solution.

These are the steps I developed myself while implementing your signing project:
Aside from adding and modifying project source files,

Preprocessor

I also added the key in dfu_init_template.c:

  I realize the implications of storing the key here as opposed to separately.
  Also my edit in #2 is required.

Would it be possible or worthwhile from a performance or storage space perspective to use the on-board AES coprocessor's CCM abilities to perform authentication instead of the HMAC?
