All these video addons need more testing, is some obsolete or working. 
maybe need some tricks. proxy, veoh?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install anime freak plugin
2. Go in the following show: Asura Cryin' 2
3. Try to play the 8 or 9 episode.
4. The regex doesn't match the episode.


I see no reaction from XBMC. I expected to have the video played. 

Here I am adding a patch to fix this issue and be able to play a lot of
other videos.

I am also adding French translation.

I've attached the German translation in here.

Hulu plugin DecryptPid.as assumes http://www.hulu.com/sec.swf is always
present. A while back I was able to wget it and now it returns with "404
Not found" error. Thru wireshark, I see that if you go to hulu thru
browser, it's appending cb=<xxxxx> arg at the end of the URL i.e. 
http://www.hulu.com/sec.swf?cb=2009022501, whose wget succeeds for me now.
Dont know how long it will succeed.

I think they are creating some time factor into sec.swf URL and aging out
older ones...just another layer of security I guess. That cb value needs to
be figured out from player.swf.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.just runs the plugin in the image sub-menu

I expected to se my iphoto library but there is just a little pop-up saying
"error, script failed : iphoto"

3. Script will connect, but then errors in one of two ways.

The first time I tried this it started searching but it displayed the 
letter 'i' in place of where the filename should be. Search never ended, I 
exited script. Don't have debug info for that unfortunately.
From that time on whenever I try this out it displays "Error: Hashing 'i' 
not found" (Without quotes around the 'i').

Note that : 
- Tiff files do exist at the correct location.
- The 1st ERROR and INFO shows "La m?thode..." while the second shows "La

- adding "print icon" in default.py shows path correctly encoded.

searching videos in utf format like word "seinäjoki", crashes plugin.
searching with word "seinajoki" works well and shows right seinäjoki videos.
Is possible fix it or add unsupported charachter protection

XBMC Build 28699 on the Xbox platform. I'm not sure which version of the

Using the Xbox as my platform, I can navigate the Simpsons seasons 
directory, and finally choose the episode to watch, but I get a python 
script error when trying to view the video.

1. I downloaded XBMC 8.1 (windows & xbox t3ch versions)
2. I downloaded OpenSubtitles script
3. When I execute the script it does not work

After changing OpenCws into OpenCws it looks like it works...

Currently, its a hastle to start debugging scripts on linux since most
committed files have dos line endings. Sure, I can convert them, but then
it' s a real mess to update.

1.Use Version 3.0 of EyeTV
2.Scrape a standard EYE Archive that has a package name with a /
3. The scrape process generates an error part of the way through and cancels.

Instead get a list of files sorted by number or the process errors out.

The issue is that EyeTV no longer stores data in the SUBTITLE field of the
epguide file. Instead the show title is stored in the ABSTRACT field.

Fixed the issue by editing default.py on lines 503 and 504:
503 # p=re.compile('<key>SUBTITLE</key><string>(.*?)</string>')
504 p=re.compile('<key>ABSTRACT</key><string>(.*?)</string>')

This introduced a problem because the abstract sometimes contains a /
character the breaks the symbolic creation at about line 943.

Fixed this problem with the / at new line 508
508 subtitle=subtitle.replace("/", "-")


Running latest version of XBMC with latest version of XBMCEyeTVScraper on
Mac OSX 10.6.2


I suppose a more version independent fix would be to check both the
Abstract and subtitle and grab the information from the field that has info.

1. Built xbmc from svn on Oct 16 2009 (SVN:23776M)
2. Install SVN Repo installer 1.7.5 from google code website.
3. SVN Repo installer asks to update - successfull
4. SVN Repo installer will now locks up xbmc if you try to install any plugins.

If I leave SVN Rep installer at 1.7.5 everything works fine.

TED offers a number of subtitles for every talk. Right now the plugin does
not allow you to select any of them.

Ideally the plugin settings would allow you to specify a "default" subtitle
and use XBMC audio menu "Search for subtitles" option control or any other
solution to change the subtitle language between the ones available for
that particular TED talk.

The functionality of the "Default subtitle" setting might be as follows:

Unset (by default) -- No subtitle shown 
Set to Language X  -- TED plugin will show the video with the corresponding
language subtitle if present.
If Language X not present by default show a dialog box with available
subtitles for the talk so the user can choose a fallback one or "escape"
and watch the video without subtitles.

In any case the "Search/Select" subtitles will always be available during
video playback.

Unfortunately the Hulu plugin seems to have gotten a bit out of date; the
current code only navigates down to the category list and then fails; I
never get any list of shows / movies / whatever. But that ought to be easy
to fix.
