With shiny, I can create a site/document that updates using an ArchieML source when refreshed. But with Javascript, couldn't we make a simple function like archie_gdrive_output(ID, variable_name) that would show text that is continually updated based on a spreadsheet?

Major question is, how to do validation, but that's in this NYT example, too.

One of the nice things about ArchieML is that structured data can be included right in freeform text, like a markdown file. So what about including this type of data in R markdown? A function could parse all the non-chunk portions of an *.Rmd, collecting the data, and then knit the file using the data.

A good way to demonstrate this would be to create a Shiny App that reads off a public google doc.

One use case doumented at http://archieml.org is importing ArchieML data off a google doc. from_archie should be able to do this by just detecting a google doc URL, and passing appropriate keys via ... if needed

@noamross Has development of this package been suspended? Should it get a suspended or abandoned status badge and then be archived (reversible decision) like a few other repos?

README should describe workflow - e.g., collaboration with writers, unstructured documents, etc.

archieml-js is Apache 2.0 licensed. I'm not sure what I need to to to include this (unmodified) code in my package. Can I use MIT for this package? I know I can use GPL.
