cppcheck can be run during a build using cmake >= 3.9 static analysis integration. However, the output is, by default, suppressed with the build output. And the cppcheck reports are hard to pick out of the verbose logs.

Which is why I created this plugin. However, it is somewhat redundant at the moment.

cppcheck src/
catkin cppcheck

The above commands give the same output.

What would be useful is if cppcheck is run during the usual build process, reports collected, and printed at the end.

For whatever reason, this works in a virtual environment but not a global installation.

In setup.py, set the package version to the latest git tag.

Just need to wrap output of git command with str

Currently, absolute paths are used with cppcheck. This results in cppcheck printing a warning with an absolute path to the file. This is more information than necessary.

Catch OSError and prompt the user to install cppcheck.
