de-compromise's Issues

Can I filter for places?

I was looking for places() or orte(), but couldn't find it.
Will this one day be supported or what is missing for it to work?

Thanks :)

Imperative issues

The imperative seems not to be detected at all. So imperative verbs are not detected as verbs.

"Nenn mich Tobias" (Call me Tobias) --> "Nenn" (call) is a verb, but tagged as substantive.
"Hüpf hoch" (jump high) --> "Hüpf" (jump) is a verb, but tagged as substantive.

The general rule for building the imperative is: Infinitive without "en" at the end.

Examples:

  • "Rennen" (to run) --> Renn! (run!)
  • "Gehen" (to walk) --> Geh! (walk!)
  • "Lachen" (to laugh) --> Lach! (laugh!)

Add licence

Thank you very much for this great project! We would like to use de-compromise in an word cloud tool to analyze text. That's why it would be helpful if you would add a licence to this repo. Thanks!

Wrong substantive tags

A lot of substantive tags are wrong.

"Mein Name ist Tobias" (My name is Tobias) --> "Mein" (My) is a pronoun and substantive at the same time which is not possible by definition. "Mein" is just a pronoun, not a substantive at all.

"Nenn mich einfach Tobias" (Just call me Tobias) --> "Nenn" (Call) is a verb, but it's tagged as a substantive. "mich" (me) is a pronoun, but it's also tagged as substantive.

Syllables

Does it also return syllables?
Couldn't find anything in the code.

Thanks :)

contribute

Hi,
I am considering continuing this project.
Does this make sense at all from your consideration or should I create a completely new fork of compromise?

This project seems very outdated and cannot be used anymore due to very outdated dependencies.

The slack-channel is not available anymore. That's why I'm contacting this way

Words ending with "er"

Some German words and names end with "er". They are detected as adjectives. In general it's correct that adjectives end with "er", but not all words ending with "er" are adjectives.

Examples:

  • Dieter, Günther, Volker (names)
  • Leiter (ladder), Häuser (houses, plural), Dachdecker (roofer)

Bug stories

"Könntest du bitte so nett sein und den Müll raus bringen?" (Could you please be so nice and bring out the garbage?):

  • "Bitte" (please) is not an adverb. I don't know what it is right now, but not an adverb :-D
  • "so" (so) is not an adverb. I don't know what it is right now, but not an adverb :-D
  • "Müll" (trash) is not an adjective, it's a substantive
  • "raus" (out) is not a verb, i think it's a preposition (not quite sure)

"Wann" (When (have you been)) is always a substantive which is wrong.

Was ist liebe? (What is love?):
"Was" (what) is not a substantive and "liebe" (love) is a substantive

In general question are not processed very well.
