When pressing "Count points" in the download tool it would be nice to have some indication that something is being processed and that we are waiting for some number. A loading bar or a "clock" and maybe also disable the "Count points" button so the user does not press it until the result from last submit is recieved
Is PoTree hard-coded to require octree data, or will it accept data that is organized in other ways as well?
If PoTree accepts other data as well, we could have more freedom in organizing our data effectively to reduce pre-processing and/or load-times.
Clicking first the tools icon and then the help icon opens both boxes. I would them to be exclusive, so one box to close when the other opens.
I would love to use the data from:
http://ahn2.pointclouds.nl/
in Sketchup to do a shadow study in Sketchup. I've been pondering on how to convert the .laz data from pointclouds.nl to something Sketchup can understand but so far I haven't been able to accomplish this. I've tried CloudCompare, ArcGIS, qGIS, etc, but all to no avail.
Has someone here been able to get this to work?
Rephrase email (add NLeSc icon, reference to cite, etc.)
Add FugroViewer?
The translation of the paper should also be checked.
Preferably on a laptop with crappy stats ;)
I think it's now stable, I've tested all I could on my machine, but we need to see if this new EDL mode (that's now set as default) is even runneable on no-gpu machines before we put it in production.
We want to resurrect the download functionality of the AHN viewer:
Consider choosing a region in Limburg to check if combining various coordinate reference systems can be handled.
Otherwise a region in Delft could be interesting to see whether integrating hand-held scanner input could work.
TypeError: jsfunc.toString(...).match(...) is null 6936ccc1-315b-48ef-a705-de694720b55c:1:13258
3D selection do not work in the default navigation mode, i.e. Earth Controls. Only if you change to Keyboard controls then you can do 3D selections.
2D selections in the map do work in both cases
Hi,
Last year I was using the viewer ocassionally but when I try now it shows no data and the api endpoint (http://ahn2.pointclouds.nl/api/laz) returns a 404 not found?
Regards,
Thomas
Specifically: give access to
Open Settings panel -> Misc tab -> enable Show statistics
Let's move the panel a few px up:)
The tool height profile does not visibly do something. It would be nice to have a graph somewhere on the screen with a height profile.
PhantomJS 2.1.1 (Linux 0.0.0) pointcloud.service initial state should have settings FAILED

/home/arni/gitrepos/ahn-pointcloud-viewer/test/spec/pointcloud/pointcloud.service.spec.js:47:49
Aim:
To Introduce point cloud to the hydrinformatics community at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) congress.
abstract at \SURFdrive\Shared\nD-PC\documents\Conferences\
To be submitted to "Hydroinformatics: computational intelligence, systems analysis, optimisation, data science" session
The viewer now uses Dutch coordinate reference system, Dutch minimap layers and Dutch search.
I would like to change data/drivemap.json
file so I can use it for a different country
Up tot January this year we were able to download Point Cloud files (.laz) from the ahn-pointcloud-viewer.
But now we receive an error when we use this service.
"Count Points" doesn't work (remains "0") en pushing the submit-button returns the next error:
"for some reason Submit failed".
Is this service down?
Heya, I have videos of the experienced behaviour attached in the appendix, so you can see exactly what I mean. I have been able to reproduce this behaviour in both Chrome and Edge on multiple computers and networks, so I doubt this is a fluke on my side.
Whenever I attempt to load the http://ahn2.pointclouds.nl website, it shows that it is trying to load the data (signified by the green loading belet and progress bar on top and below the search bar respectively), but even given an hour, it's not able to load anything. The console is filled with errors surrounding the parseJSFunc and the inability to use .slice()
on it, as well as 403 errors on the sentry.io API resource the website requested. A screenshot of the console is visible below:
I believe both errors relate to an API being offline or not sending the data correctly, because the slice error says there's irretrievable data it's attempting to slice, while the other says it's unable to request the data from a Sentry.io API (therefore I believe they're related).
Is this a common issue and are you already working on a fix? I'll take a look at the source code when I've got the time to see if I can do anything to try and help fix this.
Thanks in advance!
Perhaps by 'manually' setting a zoom level based on the distance between the two close points of the camera frustum.
The AHN viewer shows city and town names when viewing in. This makes the map a bit easier to navigate. They also have an underlying google maps (or equiv) to show roads, lakes etc.
Also check whether PoTree can load these las/laz files and whether we need to 'hyjack' other known attributes for cLoD
Browsers to check:
Windows 7 as well?
Mobile browsers (Android, Windows) as well?
It is currently fixes and it would be nice to be able to decide which colour palett/diagram is used
Esspecially with the previous color map, the toolbox could 'disappear' when selected because it would take the same color as the background.
The easiest way to explain is an example:
https://www.google.com/maps/@51.9816396,5.9123597,15z
Google maps allows users to copy/paste the URL to save or share their view of the map. It would be great if the pointclouds viewer had a similar feature. This would make communication about particular sections of the map/pointcloud much easier.
