Simple monitoring UI
Lägermeister could use a simple monitoring UI that looks at the values exported with the expvar package over HTTP/JSON and generates some charts that are useful and live.
Needs a syslog receiver
We need a receiver that can take in normal syslog messages over TCP and UDP and turn them into Heka messages. This library looks like it will make this easy: https://github.com/mcuadros/go-syslog
Timestamps are not formatted well for output
The timestamps that are being sent from the subscriber are currently in Unix epoch nanoseconds and upstream systems generally expect an ISO date formatted string. We need to fix that.
