There are a few mismatches between the ac3d and blender main aircraft files, I am trying to merge them before making additional changes:

• On the blender side, I found a fix for the normals problem introduced by l0k1 multivariant PR (using data transfer modifiers), so I think everything is fine.
• On the ac3d side, most changes are to the materials, and are easy to merge by hand. However this commit is problematic: NikolaiVChr/flightgear-saab-ja-37-viggen@36907ac
  I am not sure what it does. Would you know how to port it to the blender file ?

@l0k1 since you are working on the model anyway, any chance you could do these small changes:

Autosmooth set to 40 deg:
gearLeftBottom, gearRightBottom, gearLeftOleoStrut, gearRightOleoStrut

And to 42 degrees:

gearleftHinge, gearRightHinge

And 45:

droptank

Small hole-like indentations similar to what the RB-71/99 have

Maybe more of a wishlist item, but changing the model to have a proper air intake, a better motor view from the back, and a nozzle would be nice.

As the SK-37 is being built off of the JA-37 fuselage, this might have to come first for me. Also, it'd be a big quality improvement.

The altimeter models (and maybe some others, I did not check) seem to be missing the changes corresponding to this commit
