autinn's Issues

Mixer Question

Are the outputs to FX both post fader and if so, could you put a selection in the context menu to change this?

Sometimes zero output from Flora

A report from facebook, I duplicate it here, so I don't forget:

Mizio Ang wrote on Facebook:

When i make a patch, or more likely when opening a patch that worked before, some modules stop sending any signal, output is 0 (black light on the cables), sometimes i've been able to re-animate the jammed modules by duplicating it(??), or trough restarting VCV, other times only thing that works is to replace with a "fresh module"(called from the menu) and make the connections once again.
this happened to me with:

Audible instruments Macro Oscillator 2
Squinky Lfn Random voltages
Fundamental delay
mschack mixer
Bogaudio mixer
Autinn Flora

and some others i can't remember right now; I think is a VCV related issue, but i am no expert in programming
I am on win 7, my system is above specs, never had some sort of performance issue
I have tried everything i could think of from switchind to my 2nd motherboard integrated audio card to installing visual c++ upgrades(altough everything worked fine about two months ago, but i may be wrong on that, cause i'm using VCV more in depth now...)
The uploaded patch seems to be saved with "problems", autin-delay-mixer seems to stop randomly, every time you open the file, verified on another win 7 system that normally works great.

The Zod Compressor

I am loving this ZOD compressor. It reminds me of tube compressor from the seventies. The headroom is crazy nice and smooth. It would be nice if you can break out the limit section to its own module to save on processing.

Mera: CV input

@the1andonlydrno mentioned in his "What does this knob do" PDF and video that he missed Mera having CV input.

Good idea, I will add that at some point.

Rack v2

Hi there,

I use your modules a bunch in Rack v1, just wondering if you are going to convert them over to VCV 2?

Thanks!

Polyphonic cables

Since this is coming in Rack 1.0 many Autinn modules is going to support it.

Fluencerator Force-restart?

Hey! I've been using the Fluencerator alot in my patches, and I absolutely love the beautiful and organic phrases it creates.

Correct me if i'm wrong about this, but there seem to be no way to force an instant trigger of the "Generate" button, so you always have to wait for the phrase to end before it can generate a new melody (f.eks in a new incoming scale).
This also makes it hard to properly sync the Fluencerator with other Fluencerators and melody-generators, which might be a problem when dealing with different musical scales..

I'd suggest there be some type of "Force generate" input or switch, so a new phrase will generate right away without having to wait :)

MAC release?

Hi, I see no MAC release, I can help you and compile it for Mac if you send me the code :-)

Version 6

When are you about to deliver version 6

Bass Module

Nikolai,

Do you have a video demo for your Bass module. I think I am getting the results by following your ReadMe information, but I just wanted to be sure.

Zod: Add VU meters

Decided there was room for VU meters to help adjust out gain.
Will be in next Autinn release.

fluencerator chromatic mode

Could you add a chromatic mode?
I find this useful, because then I can create my own scales (with the use of a quantizer)
Thanks, Joop

Zod: add sidechain inputs

I really wanted this feature, but decided against due to not wanting the module to be too wide.
However I now managed to squeeze a couple of input jacks for this by rearranging the bottom of the module.

Will be in next Autinn (v0.6.11).

Clarify manual for Bass module, OSC input

I was getting poor results when passing in V/Oct here. After experimenting and reading more closely, I gather this input should be an audio signal (output of another oscillator "upstream"). It might be best to clarify this:

Send the tone into OSC input.

And now I see that this is tagged as filter and not oscillator, so maybe that's just my ignorance showing.

Beast Mode

Nikolai,

You are in beast mode development. I have just missed 2 updates you have put out.

Good Job

v2.1.0 Preview

Here is some pics of what coming in v2.0.1
I am not much of a graphics designer, sorry in advance for the graphics:

A 6-channel mixer with 2 features I have often missed in Rack; individual FX send amount and simple EQ.
Not a single CV though, halfway plan to make a wider CV version also, if someone wish for it.

I just whipped this up to test a feature of the mixer above. Somehow it ended up being a standalone module. Simple EQ:

User wished for this 3 years ago, he finally gets his limiter:

Furthermore

  • Zod will takes less CPU
  • DC will react a bit faster

Request

Keep Dirt and don't improve it. It has a funky sound from the consumer brand Casio handheld keyboards.

Yes you did optimized the code. It went from a almost 5mb file to under 700k. Now that is what I call optimizations.
