reddit-link-opener's Issues

Feature Request: Exit Button

I have been procrastinating a lot since I installed this extension.
Maybe could add a feature with a big red "EXIT" button that will close all reddit tabs in case of emergency where you need to go back to your life and do meaningful things.

Option to open reddituploads.com images as images?

With the new reddit image host, a thread now opens with a preview of the image with the comment section. Would it be possible to add an option so that the image is directly opened instead without the comments?

Option to filter certain URLs

Sometimes there are some websites you'd never want to open. It might be a good feature to have a filter list. For example filter amazon.com if you wanted to

New reddit

Someone puhleeese update for the new / old reddit site. This is my most used chrome extension.

Keyboard Shortcut: Validation of the Setting

There is no validation when the keyboard shortcut setting has been assigned a value.

A simple way to fix this problem and another issue would be to create a simple form with checkboxes for the key modifiers (e.g. "Cntl"), and a text box for assigning which key activates the shortcut (e.g. "T").

Comments Only?

Can you make an option to only open the comments for all the posts?

Keyboard Shortcut: Keys Associated with Apple Devices

Unable to use the "Command", "Option" (Function: "Alt"), and "FN" (Function) keys when assigning the keyboard shortcut setting. These keys are commonly associated with Apple devices, such as the keyboard built-in to the MacBook Pro, and the standalone, wireless keyboard.

adblock

Hi I am able to use the reddit link opener on my chromebook while signed into chrome but not able to use the link opener (nothing happens when I click on it) when I move over to my chromeBOX . I have Adblock regular installed on both chrome browsers. I have it so that it doesn't run on the reddit domain but it isnt working on my chromeBOX. Is the problem from a different source or do you have any suggestions?

Doesn't mark links visited on another computer with Gold

Firstly, love the extension!!

I have Reddit Gold, mainly to keep track of which links I have clicked on between PCs.

When I use Link Opener on PC1 it works exactly as expected. However when I go to PC2 all the links opened by Link Opener on PC1 is still blue on PC2.

If I click on the links manually on PC1, then they appear purple (visited) on PC2, so the Reddit Gold feature is working fine.

I would be happy to donate $50 to your favorite charity, beer fund, etc. if you can add this feature / fix this bug.

Cheers

Does not work on old.reddit.com subreddits that feature sponsored posts.

When using the classic version of reddit, old.reddit.com (which I often do, because the www.reddit.com redesign sucks), any subreddits that feature sponsored/promoted posts will prevent RLO from opening new tabs.

Seems to be just that particular combination. When a subreddit features user-generated content ONLY, (no promoted posts), the extension will work, even on classic old.reddit.com. And if you're on the redesigned www.reddit.com, RLO will work regardless of whether or not there is sponsored content among the posts. But nothing happens when you try to use the extension while browsing an old.reddit.com subreddit with sponsored/promoted posts.

Extension broken with latest chromium?

I updated my browser to User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.64 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/1.6.682.3 and all of a sudden reddit links aren't opening in a new tab anymore. The extension is still installed, updated to latest version and active. Any idea?

Some links not being marked as visited

First of all, I've been using this extension for years, and I love it. With that being said, this started a couple months ago; it only marks some of the links as being visited.
Steps to reproduce:
Load up reddit in tab 1, control+shift+F
close all new tabs, return to reddit in tab 1.
control+shift+F
Many of the same posts get re-opened.
Only some of the links that were opened were marked as visited, others remain blue. If you hover over one of the blue links that was visited it turns purple. If you refresh reddit, the links are purple as expected, but this is not a good option as I use RES and never-ending-reddit which appends concurrent pages of reddit to the DOM once you're at the bottom of the page, and refreshing brings you back to page 1.
