Overview

City Explorer is an app that allows the user to input the name of cities and have the app return the local weather, restaurants, entertainment that pertains to the city and local outdoor activities.

Getting Started

To get started with building a simliar app the user must create a repository.

Once the Repo is created you need to create your scaffolding in your file structures, in this case we created the server.js file and this will be the main reference for the contents of the backend.

run

npm init -y

This creates the package.json file.

run

npm install express dotenv cors

This installs the express, dotenv, and cors dependencies

Run

nodemon

If you need to install the nodemon use npm install -g nodemon.

If you are having permission issues use sudo npm install -g nodemon.
