Dear nickcampbell18,

After hours of screaming and trying to get my app to work going through the omxplayer repository I've found that the repo and the Rubygem (0.4.1) are out of sync.

I've made some changes to the open method to get it to work and would like to contribute to the project to make sure that the GPU buffer is refreshed upon start, so raspberry can launch the player from commandline without initializing x11.

Please update the repo.

I try to play a bunch of files in a row with omxplayer and have a bit of a problem.

In fact, I build a video distribution system, where there is one server with a "playlist" of URLs, and multiple Raspberry PIs working as clients, fetching constantly playlist from the server and putting their local "videos" folder in sync with playlist. "Clients" can go offline anytime, but must be able to loop videos they have got so far. The system should work without any GUI, automatically upon startup.

And the problem with gaps between the clips just ruins the whole idea (more on that).

Do you think I should try to recreate a solution like that, on python but with this library (I'm more comfortable with ruby), or should I move to some media center software for PI, like Nick already did?
