LXPanel Menu Applet works and looks like XP
https://github.com/gottcode/xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin[Whiskers] is light, almost if not zero extra dependecies.
It can be customised to feel like the menu on Vista, 7, 8

Rename WinAte8-gtk to WinAte8
Delete WinAte8-ob/

Regular, not bold, font style in columns (See Open dialog).
Plain, flat & simple Add/Remove bar of Open dialog.

Proportions:

• When settings same font size, menu row of Openbox theme is not of the same height of a menu row of GTK 2.x theme.

Colors:

• Menu color of Openbox theme is not as white as the menu color of GTK 2.x theme.
• Background color of menu selection of Openbox theme is not as blue as the background color of menu selection of GTK 2.x theme.

There is a problem with some actions icons size.

Hi,
I just successfully installed WinAte theme in Ubuntu 14.04 (I choosed win 8 theme). But after reboot the cursor always appears as cross (is it default?) and need to open lxappearance to make it win8 cursor.

Hi, I'm trying to install it at LXDE Ubuntu 14.04 with --force command
but it still shows:

I've copied all files at /home/user/.themes/ and could select your theme from OpenBox GUI, but default toolbar, icons, etc are not changed.

the gtk update breaks the themes WinAte7 and 8 -gtk, as can be seen with lxappearance-gtk3, or when applied, in pavucontrol.

There is a good GTK 3.x theme at https://github.com/baurigae/moskva which you can look at as base for improvements.

@baurigae Please kindly provide assistance, if you may.
