Dear Admin,
When I use this extension, sometimes it shows warning message saying that
cannot change "chrome proxy" and sometimes web pages are not loading
properly(crashed images and displaced content). I am facing this problem from
last few days. Disabling this extension solves the problem.
I am using chrome Version 39.0.2171.13 beta-m.
Kindly resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Sudheer

It would be quite useful for anyone using this extension only for certain sites.
Personally I'm switching it on only to visit some sites blocked by government.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install datacompressionproxy on fresh install of chrome stable
2. Load random websites (HTTP, not HTTPS)
3. Navigate to chrome://net-internals/#bandwidth
I expected some data savings, however chrome://net-internals/#bandwidth did not
reveal any data savings at all. I tried several websites, restarted chrome,
restarted computer, and reinstalled plugin.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Chrome Stable 34.0.1847.116

who has a different ISP with no luck

An Enhancement:
It would be awesome if you could alter the extension icon when you are on a
bypassed page/ip/domain etc.
Essentially one state when you should expect it to be 'compressing' and another
when not. Similar to how you can turn it on/off.
Thanks!

It would be more useful if it had
a) detailed instructions for the adblock list not just data format.
b) ability to use a copied version of the easy list file that is maintained for

Not an issue as such, I was just wondering if you could chain this proxy with

Not a problem.
I was wondering if this can be enabled for https sites or does the encryption
make this impossible?

I could then manually disable this for online banking etc.

The DCP relies on a correct Proxy-Authorization header based on a timestamp,
which is hard-coded for now. We should find out the SPDY_PROXY_AUTH_VALUE and
dynamically generate the header value, using functions:
ps = function(timestamp) { return timestamp + '-' + rand() + '-' + rand() + '-'
+ rand() }
sid = function(timestamp) { return md5(timestamp + SPDY_PROXY_AUTH_VALUE +
timestamp) }
proxyauthvalue = 'SpdyProxy ps="' + ps + '", sid="' + sid + '"'
