svg3d's Issues

z-ordering of clones for png

Hi, Nicolas,

I dont understand why it should make difference. The svg contains a fixed size png, but the ordering collapses, as in:

screenshot from 2017-10-03 13-45-24

( I know the pictures arent in there, but it actualy makes it much easier to see the ordering reality.

Layout of Clones

Nico,

Could you add a layout for clone3d which conforms to the Golden Ration

1.61803398874989
1
0.618033988749897

where 1.6 is the x axis, 1 is y and 0.6 is z?
Im doing it in my code, and I was going to abstract it away somewhere. Seems the best place to put it would be svg3d... Maybe not.. Worth doing if its a ten minute job imo

Your contact & question

Dear Nicolas,

I'd like to ask one question for your neat SVG3d library.
I created a 3D svg file, and i made a nice animation with your js code.

Now i want to stop the "rotating animation" and want to save the currently shown state of the geometry and save it as an 2D svg file. Is this possible or how can i make this possible?

Best,
Stephan

Questions and thanks

Hello and thanks for your wonderful code. I'm reading and loving it!

I have 3 questions:

  • if I manage to understand how this works and how to adapt to my need, do you mind if I add you directly to my special thanks page?
  • the current working draft SVG 1.1 does not support 3d transform functions on SVGPathElement, not yet as of 2020, does this means your code basically compensates the Z axis transformation by calculating the 2D coordinates to MIMIC the 3D presentation, do I understand correctly?
  • I haven't finished reading the code yet, so I'm not sure: can this code be adapted to work with a given 3d matrix?

Thank you and GOD bless man, you made my day!
