Thank you for sharing this knowledge. Testing and documenting a workflow using Python and RStudio together is a non-trivial task, so optimizing the workflow using Miniconda is not a current priority. A user at this level of understanding of Python probably doesn't want to run BirdNET through RStudio anyway!
In general I would recommend running BirdNET from the command line, rather than trying to do it through NSNSDAcoustics::birdnet_analyzer() and reticulate. That way users can specify threads and process data through BirdNET more quickly (a huge downside of trying to run BirdNET from RStudio in Windows is that you can't specify multiple threads -- at least, you couldn't when this workflow was developed). Your comment has inspired me to update the ReadMe to reiterate this recommendation:

Long story short, there are many ways to solve the problem (Miniconda vs. Anaconda and much, much more!). I anticipate BirdNET (and ways to access it) will continue to change as the field of bioacoustics advances; in the meantime, this workflow provides a way to programmatically process audio through BirdNET via RStudio, which some users might prefer.
