javascript-quiz's Issues

Proposed question topic: Event queueing

The difference between asynchronous and synchronous event handling is a source of lots of code problems, and documentation is thin on the ground. I'd be very interested in a candidate who could distinguish the cases - both cause and effect.

Question #2

Why is 0.3 not the result of the following addition? How do you work around this bug?

I would remove or change your wording of calling floating point numbers and the IEEE standard as a "bug"

Question 3: Prototypal inheritance

The feature listed - that properties of the prototype are available to instances - is misleading. Any class-based OO language that allows for inherited properties to be changed (e.g. Ruby) will exhibit this feature.

The distinction is that class based languages distinguish between the templates and the instances (i.e. classes aren't instances), whereas prototypical languages do not - the "superclass" of a an object is another instance.

Question 3: code error

Since Dog is an Object, "var sparky = new Dog()" isn't valid JavaScript. Constuctors must have a [[Call]] internal method i.e. they must be Functions.

Small edit

I think “Prototypical” might need to be “Prototypal”?
