So when you visit the lmddgtfy (and there is a query), it will automatically typing. But you can interrupt it by putting letter and ruined the search bar. Maybe just disable typing to the search box when there is a query?

I think you can remove the Gratipay button there as you obviously closed your account there.

If I try to do this on Firefox for Android 39.0 it seems that it does not record my input and I get no https://lmddgtfy.net/q= URL.

It's also quite annoying that the search field always get's focus instantly - even if you access a q=... link. This way the OS keyboard is always displayed if you visit the site and it covers the half of the site, so you can't see the nice animation.

Cursor doesn't move on page.

When I use the back-button to go back to lmddgtfy.net, my search text is still in the input box but the URL below it does not display until I edit my search text.

I'm honored that you like my work enough use it on your own project, but I'd like to request that you revert your code back to what it was before June 15, 2015, as you have not asked permission to use my code, and the code you copied was an early release not yet fully working.

I believe DuckDuckGo requires you to have some form of an "unofficial site" notice. You removed this when you copied my code. When creating my project, I got permission from DuckDuckGo to use the mascot (Dax) and name on the site:

[...] For now, our only request is that you signify "unofficial" near the name/logo

Can you please detach this repo from the not maintained fork?

You can this either do it manually or – which I recommend – just contact the GitHub support to do it for you.

1. shows that this is a real maintained project and not just a repo of someone who (once) made a pull request
2. linking to the original repo on every page does not make sense anymore as it has been discontinued/is not maintained anymore and you…
3. can (and IMHO should) still link to the original repo/website/author/… for crediting them, but you can do so in better ways (in the Readme, wiki or so)
4. allows searching in this repo on GitHub and
5. it just looks much nicer

STR:

1. Change the settings (e.g. theme) in DuckDuckGo.
2. Use/Click (on) a lmddgtfy link.

What happens: The search result page is shown in the default theme/with default settings.
What should happen: Just show the site as usual.

Possible reason: Maybe DuckDuckGo uses strict same site cookies for storing the preferences and thus GET request from third-parties (= not "same origin") are not allowed to get access to cookies.

The text entry in the search preview doesn't scroll right when the search query exceeds its length.

I am using Firefox. There are no relevant warnings in the console.
