I've taken Jason Colstello's
Slate theme and turned it into a template for a
Jekyll site by simply replacing the example content in the index.html
with {{ Liquid template tags }}
. This lets you write your content in Markdown, like with the provided
index.md
. I've also added a _config.yml
file.
Some of this was inspired by Barry Clark's project Jekyll Now and his article at Smashing Magazine.
Slate is a responsive theme for GitHub Pages. Fork it and use it on your own site or generate one automatically using GitHub Pages.
Slate is available under ther Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License. Basically, use it, modify it, and remix it. Attribution is not necessary but it is appreciated.
