This is my personal collection of dotfiles. Nothing fancy yet, but I like it. This is, what it looks like (bash + screen):

Installer

I've written a simple installer for all the files and dependencies. But don't use it now, because it's very buggy.

Make it stable

  • Test backup of old dotfiles (Ask for force overwrite)
  • Test access to github before clone
  • Store output to logfile (function: execute)
  • Install-Script like curl m-siemens.de/install -L | bash (see https://rvm.io/rvm/install/)
  • Improve gitstatus.py
  • Install script for git-up
  • Set git author name and email address
  • Git: Colored output (+ global config file)
  • Add simple "update" command
  • Custom local config files
