Add support for more than 255 bytes in transfer

CXX is the de facto standard variable name for c++ in build systems. I wanted to generate a compilation database (compile_commands.json) using bear so I could run some static analyzers. I couldn't build the examples for other reasons, but even if the compdb would not contain any of the c++ compiler invocations due to the examples' makefiles using CPP instead of CXX.

There are so many edge cases when implementing collections that should handle non-trivial element types. ETL is pretty mature and has already done the hard part.

There is Word_length enum in USART class but read / write functions are not ready for operating in 7 and 9 bit modes.

It gives callee more freedom on what callback data the can use. They could pass in plain old function pointer if desired, or create a function object via a lambda.

Use standard stdint types

several files have #include <cml/Numeric_traits.hpp>, but the actual file name is all lowercase: numeric_traits.hpp. That causes built failures on case sensitive file systems.

Add support for I2C

Check differences between USART and UART modes.

Add clang format config for project.

Unify callbacks register/unregister pattern for periphs ans system classes.
