Links should be recognised, and the relevant tags added from http://developer.qt.nokia.com/doc/qt-4.8/richtext-html-subset.html.

There should be an option to notify for non-English issues of the magazine, as well as English issues. Note that there is support for this in the code, just no interface to configure it.

Full Circle Notifier should support the Ubuntu Application Indicator to give it a more native feel.

There should be a button or link to open a magazine issue or podcast once it has been downloaded.

In maintaining the package for ArchLinux, I discovered that gcc 4.7 requires an include in qtsingleapplication/qtlocalpeer.h. Specifically, you need to include the following line in the preamble:

include <unistd.h>

I'm not sure if this introduces an incompatibility with older versions of gcc, although I would imagine not. The patch file I'm using to correct this for ArchLinux can be found here: http://pastebin.com/i3056MZR

FCN should automatically check for updates and update itself on platforms without a central software repository.

As of 1.0-hat FCN integrates badly with OS X and has various usability issues. These include:

• Configuration page being inaccessible sometimes
• OS X binds left click to what normally happens with right-click on other platforms, causing the interface to appear/disappear seemingly randomly
• FCN calls itself "fcnotifier" in the system menu (when it has a system menu)
• Spacing in the config window is odd, and just generally isn't very pretty.
• If growl isn't installed there could be issues (investigate)
• Notifications can appear when they aren't meant to be (including blank ones)
• The menu bar icon should be monochrome unless there's a notification.

Full Circle Magazine is now available in ePub and Mobi formats, the notifier should be able to handle these.

The GUI configuration page should have an option to make Full Circle Notifier start when the user logs on.
