When trying to install on kodi 19 got error
The dependency on xbmc.python version 2.25.0 could not be satisfied.

Hi, i know the developer is kinda dead this year and there has been no progress on this addon but i found out that its still working and its amazing tbh. If anyone could please make a PR on making Content Types on this addon then my anime section is complete.

Again, love this addon and really glad to see that it still works. It's fast, amazing, and works really well.

So usually when I use youtube, amazon prime or what ever streaming addon, after the episode or movie the highlight stays at the just watched episode so I only need 1 button press to select the next episode.
With crunchyroll it always highlights the ".." at the top and not the episode i just watched which is a bit annoying.
Anyway to get that fixed?

On some occasions i get the message: "You need to be a premium member".
This occurs for a show that lists an episode but that episode is not (yet) released.
E.g. Radiant, this show the episode are listed before the are released.
On the webpage you'll see a message like "This video has not been released yet."

I do not know what kind of error Crunchy throws at you.
The error message should be something else, maybe this is just a generic error your showing but it would be nice if it could show the same error as the webpage.

Mr. Krabat, i've been experiencing a lot of issues with errors to the point the plugin is almost imposible to navigate on menus. It started with queue, each time you selected it, throws a "crunchyroll error, check the log". Now it gices the error even on history, even trying to navigate on "anime" menu. Not sure if this is a known issue.

1. Set mpv as an external player and use youtube-dl to set the stream quality

Every other funcion is working as intended and the pluggin even play anime from history or by search.
Any ideas?

While watch a show, it will stop and exit the show while watching. Then I would have to reopen and click continue from last scene it was on.

After inputting my login data, the app always crashes prior to actually logging in.
The error I recieve is in connection with a bad http request.

Some videos will not play. It tries to load then just goes back the video selection screen.

The addon does not set the correct DBType at show level/season level/episode level.

This in turn prevents some controls being visible as they have conditions based on incorrect/missing metadata, and stops context menu items like Kodi's default action "Information" from being displayed.

Hello brother I am trying to watch Hindi dubbed anime on crunchyroll in Kodi but it shows failed to load video

I've yet to find out when/how and why, but i've had serveral times that the addon suddenly asked me to loggin. When going to the addon settings everything is blank, also the settings.xml is black.
I'ts occurred enough for me to create a backup of the settings file to be able to copy that backup when it occurs again.
Im using a generated password, thus typing in that random string again and again takes time and is annoying.

Hi, I just installed the plugin and it is working very well! I just added it my queue to the menu and it generates these beautiful tiles with screens from the shows. great stuff. I'm probably doing something wrong though with regards to how to use the queue/watchlist, as every item in the list is S01E01. How do I set the queue to latest unwatched episode?

I got a very annoying issue with the add-on.
I can watch anything fine, it's all 1080p and everything is working...unless I try to skip forward to skip intros or outros, then first the video stops playback, both video and audio, and no matter what I do after that happens, Kodi, or rather the whole system, crashes and I have to push on the reset button.

System is a self build based on an AMD 5350 Kabini, 4gb RAM, 250gb 870 EVO running LibreELEC 11.0.1 (generic legacy) with Kodi 20.1.

I also tested the regular generic version of LibreELEC, but that had the same issue.

The add-on is with the "Kodi 20 Update" installed and of course I'm using a premium account.

I'm not sure if it's an issue with the add-on or with Kodi/LibreELEC but knowing that Amazon Prime, Netflix and YouTube do NOT show this behavior, no matter how much I skip through the videos, I assume it is at least somewhat tied to the add-on.

My sincere apologies, I'm having all sorts of strife with my Kodi installation at the moment so the log file will be a bit of a mess of it complaining it can't access SMB shares that were working this morning... I digress. I've been trying to install this plugin - and I keep getting the Dependances not met: Please Contact Author message whenever I try and "install from .zip" using the Kodi Raspberry Pi app in OpenElec.

Please find attached my haphazard attempt at giving you the log file at the bottom of this message.

Hello.

before anything I want to say that I really love your plugin and I was using it for a while now on my HTPC without a problem.

However, there was a small thing that always bothered me which is when you go to an anime that only has a single season. the plugin will list all the seasons of the show (just 1) then ask you to choose which one you want but really this isn't needed since there is just a single season.

I think if you handle shows with only one season the same way Kodi does (if the show has a one season open it directly without asking) it will make the plugin feel much more fluid.

that's said I didn't want to come here and ask you to improve it without me trying to do it myself first lol. so I downloaded the source and in "controller.py" under the "viewSeries()" function definition I added:

after the error check which does exactly what I described and it seems to work without a problem. But I'm sure that there are some more stuff that needs to be done for example I didn't know what to do with args._argv (maybe because I was working at 5:00 am) but I think it has something to do with the media type maybe ??.

As of 9/27, none of the videos work for me while using Kodi. Prior to that it worked fine for months.

In the next upgrade of kodi, usually pause and close the video. In the list "Queue", if the chapter is starting, return to start, and if it is close to finish (10-15 minutos before to finish) go to the next chapter.

Would be possible to add trakt.tv support ?

Shouldn't be too hard.

The video plays just fine, but the audio stream is reported as having 0 channels. Therefore, if Kodi's "Output configuration" is set as anything other than "fixed", no audio will be played.

All other streaming add-ons work just fine, including ones using InputStream Adaptive, as does regular video playback.

I seem to be having issues seeing which episodes are in a queued show. I know in the official app, there's a screen I can access that shows how far I've watched each episode. (Though it might not be directly from the queue interface.)

Sometimes, I want to be able to choose which episode to watch in a queued show. Is there a way to access this now? One of the screenshots in the project implies that there is.

Since last sunday i'm unable to play video from crunchyroll that are younger tha 3 weeks.
I use libreelec x86 64bit it tried updating all addons especially inputstream helper and adaptive even crunchyroll but it did not help. Changed resolution to 720p in inputstream adaptive but did not help. Did downgrade libreelec did not help.

Error is always: "Failed to play video" for every video that came out last 3 weeks. Even i could see them untill last saterday.

Any tips? I did find something in log: about not able to play video codec 27.

first: Its a great pluging. Great work. Perfekt for a mediacenter-PC.

second: Please add a "add to Libary" Feature. Similar to the Netflix and Amazon VOD plugin. in the Amazon and Netflix plugins can export to a path on a Harddrive. It is a .strm-File. into the strm-file is a Link to the Video-URL. The plugin would get even better.

strm ist compactible with this plugin. I have made a few strm-file and it works with the plugin. But I must made it by myself.

Plugin has been working beautifully for months - and now we've had a new random issue - I'm hoping that Crunchyroll hasn't prevented access.

So as to not waste too much time, I've tried reinstalling both LibreElec, Kodi and the plugin just in case they're the issue. But here's the main part of the log that seems to be the issue:
