On Ubuntu 16.04, when I go into full screen, the ui changes and everything gets bigger, but the window size doesn't change and everything goes off the screen.

One neat addition would be the ability to hide/show the project controls (green flag, pause, stop sign.)
I'm thinking a checkbox on the website to decide the default (which would probably mean a config file of some kind) as well as an option in the player (a button in the toolbar? Or maybe automatically hide them until hovered-over? [this would resolve the aspect ratio issue])
