calendar-tools's Issues

support for RO cardav

Is this script supposed to work for addressbooks too?
I'm in dire need of making a "shared" RO addressbook in baikal 0.2.7, while leaving the others RW.
This script seems to take care of calendars, but it doesn't seem to work for addressbooks.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

How does it work?

Hi Martin,
thanks for your script. It's working fine so far, means I configured two users.
First of them owns a calendar, the second one has write-permissions to this calendar.

But when I setup my caldav client (davdroid on android phone) for the second user,
only his default calendar is displayed, not the one of the first user (with write-permissions).
Regards
Klaus

Possibility of merging back into Baikal?

Great little script! I have installed and tested it, and it seems to do the job perfectly.

Is there any chance you could integrate it back into Baikal (the stable 0.2.7 branch) so it can be managed directly through the interface?

I have no idea how easy/difficult that would be, but I would imagine it to work as follows:

  • New button on the user list, called 'delegate' (between edit and delete).
  • Clicking the button pops up a form like the 'create user' form, but which shows a table of all other users, and the 'none', 'read', and 'read-write' options (just like your current implementation, but only for one user at a time).
  • Save updates the DB, in the same way as currently, and Cancel discards the changes.

Thoughts?
