mono-icons's Issues

QR code

It would be useful to have a QR code icon.

Community requests

If you have a request, simply make a new Github issue. One request per icon please with a visual reference of what are you after.

Leaf icon

It would be useful to have a leaf kind of icon.

README: CDN latest version will cause issue with breaking changes

In the README paragrah CDN, I wouldn't recommend to use @latest version in

<link href="https://unpkg.com/mono-icons@latest/iconfont/icons.css" rel="stylesheet">

because if people use @latest, any breaking change in your code will break all the websites that are using Mono Icons.
It happened to me yesterday with the namespacing commit (a61fe29).

I would recommend to use the last version number in the README:

<link href="https://unpkg.com/[email protected]/iconfont/icons.css" rel="stylesheet">

And if the version is "fixed", why not add the subresource integrity value (see MDN documentation) ? \o/

Road sign

CleanShot 2022-03-22 at 11 54 39@2x

It would be useful to me to have a road sign icon.

Use webfont with other element than <i>

This is not an issue, just a question!

I noticed you force the use of the <i> element with i[class^="icon-"].
I know this is usually the HTML element used with webfont but what if I want to use my icon-* class on another HTML element (<span class="icon-add"></span>, for instance).

Icon list in SVG

We should add a list of the icons in .json so it can be referenced e.g. in build scripts.

Unoptimized SVGs + download/copy bug

  1. Your SVGs appear to be raw exports from Illustrator, as despite their simple appearance, their code is quite long. Consider at least passing your SVG code through an optimizer, or better yet, since they are simple lines, draw them using SVG strokes instead (your "strokes" are currently filled outlines of strokes).

This is the code for your "remove" icon, which is a single horizontal line, being drawn using multiple Bézier curves:

...
<path d="M4 12C4 11.4477 4.44772 11 5 11H19C19.5523 11 20 11.4477 20 12C20 12.5523 19.5523 13 19 13H5C4.44772 13 4 12.5523 4 12Z" fill="#0D0D0D"/>
...
  1. When users click on download or copy for an icon, the output contains unnecessary SVG code.

SVG code in your repo:

...
<path d="..." fill="#0D0D0D"/>
...

SVG code from download/copy:

...
<path xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" fill-rule="evenodd" clip-rule="evenodd" d="..." fill="#282828"></path>
...

xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" is not a valid attribute for path elements, nor is clip-rule outside of clip paths. Paths elements should be self-closing instead of given closing tags.

Icons alignement with webfont

First things first, great job ! I really love your icons set ! \o/

I migrated one of my projects from Font Awesome to Mono Icons and I love it ...
but the icons are not perfectly aligned with my texts!

You can check it here : https://report.osm.be/

What would be the best way to fix that alignment ?

Thanks!
