If I enable this plugin, each time I tried to pin any tab, that tab will get closed.
When I disable this plugin, the tab that I pinned will not be closed
Do let me know if you want to have more information
I've a personal Edge profile and two work profiles. Have set Don't Close Window With Last Tab on each but will work only on the first two installed. Each has the same settings for closing Edge. Maybe edge has a limit?

Hello!
I make use of Chrome's new Tab Groups quite a bit, and would love to see your extension handle them.
Would it be possible to treat tabs in a collapsed tab group as if they didn't exist? What I mean is that I use several tab groups almost as bookmarks, and treat them as such. When I close my last tab that's not in a group, the extension should kick in and keep that last tab open.
Here are a few examples of what I mean:
I consider this state to be my "last tab", even though I technically have several collapsed tab groups open:
If I attempt to close this last new tab, the extension should kick in and keep it open. But since it doesn't recognize tab groups, the default Chrome behavior kicks in and it opens the closest tab group instead:
Is it possible to detect tabs in groups and have the extension treat them accordingly?
Thanks in advance!
What is the license for this repository, please?
Thank you.
What I want is:
After closing the last tab page, the page address created automatically by the extension can be individually customized,
It can be selected as a new tab page / blank page / custom address,
Instead of directly reading a certain value set by the browser,
Thanks !
After you close one of the last two tabs, if you try to reopen tabs with CTRL+SHIFT+T you are only able to reopen the last one that you closed. After that, it tries to reopen the pinned tab which closes instantly.
Unsure if it is possible to solve this though, due to the current implementation.
Your extension would not allow me to view the pinned tab in the first position. It was a tab of mine and was only affected when pinned.
I got this extension from the Edge Store (v0.9.6). I have it set as below. When I right click on a favorites folder and open all in the folder, the pinned tab goes away, but the blank tab doesn't. This started recently after an update to Edge (currently using 113.0.1774.42 (Official build) (64-bit))
I deleted the extension and tried the version in the Chrome Store and it did not work at all.

The title says it all, the addon does not work anymore, Chrome and Edge close their window when I close the last tab. Must be a change in Chrome, since I tried similar addons and they all fail.
When the fake pinned tab is viewed, it creates a new tab if one doesn't already exist, and then forces a switch to this adjacent tab. Now, if 'Open link in new tab' or the middle mouse button is used on a link to create and load a new tab in the background, this extension again forces a switch to this new tab once it starts loading. This is unexpected, since Chrome opens new tabs in the background, without jumping to them.
Further opening of new tabs works as expected, until the pinned tab is viewed again (manuakky or after closing all tabs).
Hi,
I came across your extension and I think it's currently the best I can get for my usecase.
Very clean and thoughtfully!
I have a suggestion for a new option:
Instead of opening a new tab, reopen the same tab and go back in history (if possible).
The usecase is as follows:
I have a webpage where I often open PDF files with the chrome-internal viewer.
Unfortunately, those PDFs are opened in the same tab (which I usually not notice).
When I'm done, I close the tab with the PDF in order to get to the page where I came from.
Unfortunately, that was the last tab and the browser closes - I should have used "back", but it's too late now.
Normally, I would open Chrome again, hit "CTRL+SHIFT+T" to open last closed Tab and go back.
With your extension, I still need to hit "CTRL+SHIFT+T" and to go back.
With this feature request, I would get back as intended by (accidentially) closing the last tab.
I think there's a bug in Microsoft store version of your extension. Though Chrome store version of Don't Close Window With Last Tab is working fine with Microsoft Edge.
Browser version: Microsoft Edge 90.0.796.0 (Though the bug was there even with browser version 89)
Extension version: Don't Close Window With Last Tab 0.9.6
How to recreate the bug:
(1) After installing the extension from Microsoft store, select:
(a) Allow only one "New Tab" page in a window, and
(b) Allow "New Tab" page only as a last tab in a window, save the options.
(2) Open any webpage (e.g: Bing.com) in a regular, un-pinned tab, then pin it by "pin tab".
(3) Close the "empty" pinned tab.
(4) Now try to access that webpage you have just pinned (Bing.com).
Upon clicking the pinned tab icon, you will see it flashes for a second but you cannot actually access it anymore.
Note: This exact same behavior is working fine with Chrome store version of Don't Close Window With Last Tab in Microsoft Edge.
Thanks.
