Needs some design work first - what should we show?
@shickey - is this related to the change you made to the navbar maybe?
We might want to grab and serve our own builds of jQuery, bootstrap, etc. just to avoid the situation where a page only "half" loads.
Link to topic (or maybe post itself). Likely will require manually constructing the URL from the loaded json structure in discourse-posts.js
The front page community posts should have a different (and better) layout on mobile
The links in the footer are too far to the left. Let's add spacing to that side.
Sometimes (e.g., on the getting started page) the content goes right up to the footer. Add padding (or a margin) to the end of the content to space it out
The graphic peg elements throughout the page (which I will now call "Fashion Pegs" from here on out) need work on mobile. E.g., the yellow and green set should appear and the set at the top of the community posts run into the community post header.
If loading community posts asynchronously fails, there should be a graceful fallback in the UI
Posts are loading asynchronously after page load. Until the posts finish loading, there should be a loading icon (maybe made of pegs?).
(Especially getting started, which doesn't have a "download all"
instead of "module" show the name of the current page (1. Introduction)
Eric S recommends putting a lego peg on either side of the "Watch & Read", "Make & Share", etc. headers. Let's try it!
(And make sure it works after we move to production website)
Imagine it's week 5 (Play) and I navigate back to week 2 (Projects). Should the blue peg in the modules dropdown in the navbar appear next to week 5 (since it's the current week) or week 2 (since that's the week I'm currently viewing)? I suppose we're already indicating the week we're currently viewing with the title of the dropdown in the navbar, so maybe it's okay that it indicates the current week?
The map on the home page needs a title (and maybe some simple instructions? e.g., "Press the + to add yourself to the map!")
(Based on Natalie's suggestions)
?
Long community posts shouldn't be so long!
(Also, add an FAQ entry about it)
Users still get a confirmation message saying "The course officially starts on October, 18th". Probably a good idea to update it now.
Open question: do we want a way for people to be able to see an outline of the module as they scroll through? Use peg to indicate current module?
