Hello,

since the latest version number (4.4) dates back to november of last year, I'm curious whether this app currently still provides any performance increase vs. using the official app from Microsoft. The Xbox Game Pass app seems to have issues with 4K displays, as the stream quality is significantly worse than in FullHD.

I'm using a Nvidia Shield TV Pro and even that device doesn't seem to be able to properly apply the AI upscaling to the stream, so it often feels like a pixelated mess. I'm wondering whether your app would improve on that.

I use the app on my fire stick lite and play using ipega 9076.
However the start and select button does not work and the streaming ready screen also appears instead of just starting the game

I click on certain games and it doesn't go up to the Play Page

This app lets me sign in and select a game, it actually gets all the way to launching the game past the little rocket ship at which point it crashes with an error from Microsoft.
Would it be possible to get this working for the Quest 2 similar to your Stadia APK? I would be greatly appreciative and would be happy to donate to the project for your effort.

Nvidia controller doesn't work when game loads. Using Nvidia shield with nothing connected. Previous versions have worked. Thank you

Salut, je viens vers toi car je n’arrive pas avoir le son parfaitement calé avec les voix.

Je suis une NVidia Shield (tube…), j’ai fais la mise à jour de la bête et aussi la mise à jour Webview également mais rien n’y fait.

De même que je n’ai l’image en 1080p mais je pense que ce n’est pas possible d’avoir que du 720 pour le moment. Et aussi j’ai toujours les logos en haut à gauche de l’écran.

Je me prends la tête dessus depuis un moment et je ne trouve pas la solution.

Si tu as un moment je suis dans l’attente d’une solution ;)

hello everyone, i will working on some new objectives and features for xcloud beta that will be added progressively on futures versions :

• Integration of a side menu called with a specific button of the remote shield or a combination of controller buttons.
• A global Improvement of support of controllers while multiple devices are connected at the same time. For now there are some conflicts when there is a use of not official hardware with the "shield tv" like a remote from Amazon or Harmony remote.
• A global improvement with the Bluetooth/wired connection/deconnection. The app will more forced the use of app with a gamepad for bypassing conflicts with certain remote.
• A conditional hardware accelerated dependent at the device and the version of android used on the device. And/or Perhaps with a manual settings in the side menu about the level of accelerated hardware ( Null, normal, high).
• The possibility to select the language of xcloud in the side menu
• Perhaps an automatic update from the launch of the app or from the setting side bar
• The possibility to access to different part of xcloud categories (all games, etc) directly from the side menu.
• More simplifications for enable/disable the key mapper keyboard automatically on the launch and end of application.

My son was trying to play TABs past few days and he is unable to start the battle using this app.

The button to start the battles would be the traditional start button, on a xbox one controller the window in window button and when ever it is pressed you get an alert do you want to leave this page.

If you could, pass the button on single press but if held navigate back to the game list instead.

Hello. I've had no issues with the previous sideload gamepass thus far. After loading this new xcloud app onto my shield without a hitch. As soon as I enter the game my controller has no function. When I hit the back button it just takes me into the main gamepass page

For now the major issue of the app is the Back/ Select button . When the button is pressed it's acting with the shield tv like a back button to the home screen. Si i'm working on this issue and i'm progress. If you know something about Remapping buttons, remaping applications, you can help, you're welcome.

I've Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019 with Android 11 updated and using a Bluetooth PS5 Dualsense controller. The controller works fine at Android System, Android Games, Stadia, GeForce Now and even xcloud Gamepass APK (at 720p of course). But tried xcloud-shield 4.4 and 4.3 (I'd like to play at 1080p) and controller not working well. I can use direction stick and direction buttons but the rest of buttons only works triangle one (but it actions like if X button pressed) and no more buttons working...

Is there any way to use this controller for xcloud-shield?

I have only this controller connected (and of course the original remote of shield).

Hi, i've got a small input lag that I dont have in the official Microsoft app. I like your app more because of the image rendering that is much better but the input lag is a bit anoying depending of the game. I've tried the propositions described in the wiki but its not working for me. Any suggestions ? I'm using the xbox one controller.

Since yesterday when I try to start Xcloud Shield on Shield TV Pro (2019) I get stuck in the white screen with the following message: "An error occured while processing your request. Reference #30.xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxxx". The beginning of the reference number is always 30, the numbers after it keep changing.

I tested Xcloud on my PC too and it seems to work normally, so there should be nothing wrong with my account.

I played GTA San Andreas yesterday and I exited the game using the back button of the controller. The app asked something about if I want to close the game or something to which I chose yes. After that this white screen with the reference number came for the first time and hasn't gone away since.

I deleted Xcloud Shield version 4.3 and installed 4.4 but the problem stayed the same.

I am located in Finland.

après un petit test sur ma shield 2015 avec manette xbox one.

authentification nickel avec double authentification.
manette bien reconnue, on navigue bien dans les menus.

je lance un jeu.
je vois l'écran de chargement ( avec la fusée)
je vois le logo Xbox ( sur fond noir)
par contre, ensuite, j'entends la musique du jeu. mais l'écran reste noir ( je ne vois que 2 icônes en haut gauche : les 3 petits points + logo)

si je bricole avec la manette. j'entends que je navigue dans les menus. mais l'écran reste noir.

Cant play games the app become a browser cant play say error

In game i cant use my xbox controller. To start and navigate in app theres no probleme but in game the controller do not reponse to the controller commands.

Using version 4.4, whenever I select the search bar, it loads up my on-screen keyboard for approx 1 second then closes it down again back to the xcloud home screen.

Using Nvidia shield 2019 pro, android 11, shield controller and default onscreen keyboard (gboard)

When I open the app, nothing appears, any solution?

Installed on nvidia shield 2019, and web view app updated.

Hello, thankyou for developing this app. I look forward to trying it. I have an issue. I get Problem Parsing the package" message when I try to install from Xplore app. I tried 4.4 and 4.3 they both had the same issue. My shield recently updated to 9.1 if that matters.

I am using latest version and it was working fine until yesterday. However today the landing page is just showing "we are sorry. The page you requested cannot be found."

From my initial trouble shooting, it looks like the login url is changed and the app should update that.

first of all this is a great projects thanks alot for your work.

I am trying to run it on a Philips Android TV and it crashes after the streaming had already started and the xbox logo of the actual game appears.

Is this a known issue on this device? Or did I do something wrong?

Prob will never work on my android tv as its an EKO cheap off brand running android 9, have xbox one controller hooked up but freezes when i open the app, nvidia app works fine on the same tv. any info i can provide to help lmk

I seem to be getting a maximum 720p in-game. I understand this is a limitation of the android app which is designed for smaller screens, but this app seems to be using webview instead.

I saw you mentioned that the Shield can't upscale because the AI upscaling can't grab it, and that you're working on it, which would probably help, but is there anything user-side we can do to get 1080, even if it's not upscaled on the shield?

I just ran into this article saying that Microsoft adjusts the streaming quality based on User-Agent strings. A developer was able to increase the visual quality of their stream by changing the User-Agent to make it look like a Windows computer was connecting. Any chance you can try this with your builds to see if there is an increase in visual quality?

Déjà merci pour l'application. Visuellement elle fonctionne mieux que l'apk sideloader depuis le playstore.

Par contre j'ai un problème d'input lag avec ma manette (une manette bluetooth générique, pas xbox). J'ai modifié le paramètre d'avrcp, mais rien n'y fait c'est injouable. Mes gâchettes arrières ne marchent pas non plus.

Est ce que vous avez une idée ?

It navigates fine but when I load up a game (Katamari Damacy REROLL) I cant get past the intro Press A to start, Press X to change profile

Controller works fine for Gamestream, Steam, and Luna

Also tried it with another game, The Gunk and same issue. Its like controller just doesnt have access to the game window

Firstly I want to thank you for all your support and messages. You are now so much to use my unofficial Xcloud shield App. I'm in a new city from september ago for a new developer job. My code is not with me, but In november I will have access to it, and I will having some time for working on it.

I can annonce you, that the new version 4.5 is comming for middle November.

This version will being the same of the interface and features of Xcloud on Samsung TV and will giving certainly a better global experience in game too.

I hope that this new version will giving a better support of controller, because this is already the case with the Samsung tv. So I can think that we'll have the same benefits.

The app works fine for me on a Nokia 8000 Android TV box, however there is a delay in audio so that when you perform an action in game you can hear the sound about 2 seconds afterwards....

Is there a way of amending this is Android settings?

I have something to add here... I have the Onn UHD Streaming Box. I installed V4 of the XcloudBeta software. My Android TV box has two devices connected - the included Onn Remote and an official Xbox One wireless controller via Bluetooth. The Xbox controller can control the interface, but once launching into a game, it doesn't work.

If I unpair the Onn Remote from the Onn box, the Xbox controller starts working in game.

Ideally I would be able to keep both devices paired and usable with the interface and default to the Xbox controller for the game. Is it possible for you to incorporate this change?

Hello, I recently installed this onto my Shield, I can launch it and I can use the controller on the game selection screen, but when I go into a game like Forza Horizon 5 my controller will not allow me to do anything, I hit X to start the game but it will not detect the input.

Any assistance to get this working would be greatly apprecaited :)

I have a shield tv 2017, I have my series x controller connected via Bluetooth, works fine with stadia, game pass app, geforce now and so on.

When testing your app my controller is detected in the menu when selecting a game but once I load a game my controller isn't detected and I can't go any further.

Any ideas.

Hello every one, there is a major issue this last days, since 4 days or perhaps a week about Xbox controllers and possibly certain other controllers. Apparently my xbox one serie x controller don't work since few days like some users. I think, Xcloud has changing his code in the web app, but I'm not sure, I don't know why exactly for now , I will looking for solutions.

I used the #32 bypass of the previous bug long-pressing A. I see the game start screen for a moment and hear the music in the background, clicking on things in the menu is obviously doing stuff, but the screen turns all white.

This is on a Firestick 4k Max (1.8ghz, so I figured it should work).

Have you ever had a white screen issue before or know another way to fix this?

Hi, I have the Verizon Android TV box with Amlogic S905X4 it's a 4x ARM Cortex-A55 @ 1.91 GHz with 2GB RAM, android TV 10.

The app 4.4 stay in a Blank screen, I have the WebView updated.

Version 4.4 and 4.3 stay in blank, the 4.2 and 4.1 work perfectly.

It's possible to use this app in this device?

First, thanks a lot for a great app.

I have no lag at all with the stream except for the sound. It comes in almost a full second delayed after the frame. I am on Android 11 on nividia shield.

I liked your port for Android TV but I'm having a problem with the mi box it's crashing a lot and my WebWiew is in the latest version

This project is fantastic and exactly what I was looking for. I am very impressed with the work so far but I'm having an issue.

I've followed your guide to get the best experience. I changed the Bluetooth setting, turned off any upscaling and used an official Xbox One controller (both Bluetooth and wired) but unfortunately I cannot reduce the in game delay after pushing a button. I'm still getting roughly 200-400ms delays in game with inputs as well as audio. Is this the expected amount of delay due to the xcloud service or is there something else I can do to reduce latency?

It is so close to perfect that it's frustrating but I understand there is still work to do and again, I want to thank you for the work you've done.

Hi, I've installed the app on my shield pro (latest model) and I was able to login. However, after that there is a white screen for a few seconds and then a completely black screen.

I can move some kind of cursor as I hear some sounds, but nothing is displayed.

I've uninstalled and installed again the webview component but did not help.

Happy to answer any other questions that might lead to a fix.
