mobilize-tutorials's Introduction

Our tutorials aim to get individuals started with biomechanical modeling and machine learning approaches to study human movement.

Learn more about the Mobilize Center (https://mobilize.stanford.edu), a Biomedical Technology Resource Center at Stanford University, funded by the NIH National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering through Grant P41EB027060, and the Restore Center (https://restore.stanford.edu), a Medical Rehabilitation Research Resource Network Center supported by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke under Grant P2CHD101913.

Pose Estimation for Biomechanics - This tutorial demonstrates how to use the OpenPose open-source software to extract knee flexion curves and gait cycles from a video of a subject walking.

Energy Expenditure During Exercise - This tutorial demonstrates how to estimate energy expenditure during various exercises from inertial measurement units (IMUs) worn on the leg.

OpenCap Visualization Notebook - This tutorial demonstrates how to perform kinematic analyses for data collected with OpenCap. The Google Colab notebook can be found in the OpenCap Processing Github repository.
