This feature request is for high resolution images, such as for when playing with the HDX texture pack.

It would be great to have labels for destinations. Either a compass could be labeled or there could be multiple destinations for a compass, each with its own label.

What is the official method for disabling the teleport feature of this mod?

Adding the following line to minetest.conf seems to work:
ccompass_teleport_nodes =
with nothing after the '=', but that looks rather odd to me.

Would it make more sense to add another option to specifically enable/disable this feature?

The ccompass recipe is used for the digtron core.

Might I suggest this recipe instead:

The #5 is reverted because of it does not work with current stable minetest-0.4.16.
This issue is a remark to merge the change again if 0.4.17 is out. The change is temporary parked in "mt_development" branch.

How would you feel adding effective but expensive waypoint poles? The recipe could be sticks and mese crystals. The way waypoints would be displayed could be similar to how gps displays its waypoints.

This request is for an increased number of pointing directions.
8 or a multiple of that would be good. The easiest directions to walk in minetest are in the directions of block alignment, N,E,S,W and diagonally, NE,SE,SW,NW, therefore it would be most useful to have the compass point in those directions.

I'm thinking the last part of this sound. Will try to do a PR for it.
