Note: Python 3.6 or higher is required to execute this notebook application.

Clone the repository to your local machine. Download git.

$ git clone https://github.com/zero2cx/db-app-notebook.git

db-app-notebook is an IPython notebook application, so The Jupyter Notebook must be installed before it will run locally.

$ pip install jupyter

Launch the Jupyter server.

$ cd db-app-notebook/
$ jupyter notebook

Your browser should open a new tab that shows the project directory containing the application files for db-app-notebook. Open the application notebook by clicking on the notebook file Building a Desktop Database Application.ipynb. Scroll down to the section that's labelled "Launch the application".

The Python3/Tkinter Window interface is launched by clicking on one of the form buttons in that section of the notebook.
