Employee Ideas App Template

This can be viewed as the PowerApps version of the Azure-based Great Ideas.

Employee ideas app is used by the Teams users to perform the following activities:

Set up and configure an idea campaign (a category for grouping ideas around common themes). Configure a standard submission form that employees need to submit for each idea. Review idea campaigns, and manage the list of campaigns and ideas. Edit and delete campaigns. Review leaderboards of ideas. Vote for and share prioritized ideas. Submit ideas for a campaign. View other team members' ideas. Vote on the most-liked ideas. Review how their own idea is performing compared to others within a campaign.

BadRequest: GetChannelsForGroup Failed

Occasionally receiving an error on Employee Ideas App load within Teams which reports an invalid teamid. Seems to occur more frequently if the Ideas tab is quickly navigated to. Navigating to another channel and back to reload App typically fixes the issue. (Does not occur for other Teams Apps in use).

Are there any specific issues causing this on the PowerApps load side I could look to solution? Any feedback or suggestion to correct this are greatly appreciated!

Got Exception during import the solution

We follow the deployment guide and got exception during this solution as below :

We had checked dataverse enabled already and set up a new environment
Are any installation prerequisites need this solution?

The solution file is invalid. The compressed file must contain the following files at its root: solution.xml, customizations.xml, and [Content_Types].xml. Customization files exported from previous versions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 are not supported.

Getting below error while import solution. do you have any idea to resolve this error

Likes is not working appropriately

Into the functionalities, the app provides to like an Idea into a campaign:

But, for example, I do click in the like for "Taco day" idea:

I click back to return to the list:

And click again into the campaign "Healty food" where is the liked idea, the counter in the idea has increased +1

And it happens also when I remove the "like", decrease one "like" more.

Black rectangle when creating an Idea

When an idea is creating, and when the ranking is choosing, a black rectangle appears when I select the rank.

I think is because the rank is based on a selection list and when is selected it appears. Is PowerApp render issue?

add detailed instructions to deployment guide

Currently the deployment guide only suggests to import the solution file - more detailed instructions are needed. Please consider to change the deployment guide or upload zipped solution file.

Campaign image does not show

When the app is loading, usually some images do not show:

But, when you enter to the campaign, it does in the campaign detail view:

So, the image exists. Thank you for your help!

Users gets error "this app uses features that come with powerapp premium plan. start a trial to use these features"

Additional Information:
There is no issue with teams, members in team can share an ideas though employees ideas app. When cx try to click on Go to website it will redirect to PowerApps web and getting bellow error.

Idea owner changed

We are using Employee Ideas. One member submitted an idea, but after some time the owner of this idea was changed automatically to another member.

This is strange behavior. The owner of the idea must not change.
