Visual Studio 2019 is here! On April 2nd we broadcasted a full day of awesome Visual Studio 2019 technical content to celebrate the launch and get you up to speed with all the new features. This repo contains creative and technical content for running a local launch event or watch party in your community.

If you are interested in running a local event or watch party between April 2 and June 30, please make sure you let us know by filling out this survey: www.surveymonkey.com/r/VS2019Launch. We will advertize your event on the local events page.

Event Guidelines

You are free to organize a watch party to view the online broadcast live and/or organize a presentation, workshop, or hack-a-thon anytime until June 30. The technical content needs to be Visual Studio 2019 related. Topics can include but aren't limited to: Visual Studio and Visual Studio for Mac latest versions, .NET, C++, DevOps, cloud development with Visual Studio & Azure.

Technical Content

The Technical folder contains the technical content from the event. Relevant demos are linked to in the decks.

Creative & Social Copy

The Creative folder contains creative banners and images you can use to advertise the Visual Studio 2019 launch and your local events. You may use these banners to advertize the main event itself, or your local events in your community. You may add your local meetup name, location and dates to these images. You may not change the Visual Studio 2019 launch event branding. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.

Local event on April 20 in Suzhou has no register link but an advertisement

Local event on April 20 in Suzhou has an "Register Here" link pointed to an advertisement, please fix that.

Artwork date is different from our local event date.

I would like to use the artwork in this repository at our local event registration site.
However, the date on the artwork is different for local events.
Can I change the date and use it?

Big file used by Visual Studio always grewing up to more than 20GO

Hi,

I noticed that Visual Studio is doing something in the background creating a big file in Temp folder which grewing up sec per sec:

On the screenshot the file is already 10GO. My Hard drive becomes completly paralized by the **** file.

Do you have an idea how to stop this thing?

If I'm not in the good place to post this issue, could you help to find where I can do that?

This repo is missing important files

There are important files that Microsoft projects should all have that are not present in this repository. A pull request has been opened to add the missing file(s). When the pr is merged this issue will be closed automatically.

Demo Code available for local events?

@BethMassi will any of the code used for demonstration be available in this repo? Is it possible to obtain some of the demo code used in the sessions? Obviously not Gears of War 4 :) Thanks in advance.

List of Sessions Needed ASAP

I know the actual presentation decks will be here "...as soon as they become available..." but it would help to have at least a list of what the talks will be ASAP. That way, we can start planning the local events with regard to who will be delivering what talks.

Hello, would be great if you could post the same content but as AI or PSD.. add the fonts, etc.. some format that we can change the content keeping the same fonts.. for instance, I would like to change the time to GMT...
