nms-browser's Issues

Feature Suggestion: Highlight Current Searched System, Auto-pop right menu

When a system is searched for, the right menu panel should auto-open (as its now datafilled) and the system searched for should automatically be visibly selected (this would show the inter-distance lines, but there should also be some other visual indicator in the case since some star searched for may not have any distances measured)

FEATURE request-http parameter supply to app

Feature Suggestion:

Requested ability to supply parameters via the app http link to bypass the user input for galaxy, region, and platform.

Suggestion to avoid parameters that use literal text if possible to minimize transliteration errors. Suggest using galaxy ID and portal glyphs or galactic coordinates. Platform parms could be two letters (PC,PS,XB)

Feature Request: REGION list pull down menu

The region list pull down menu is becoming unnecessarily long, we should filter to only show regions that have at least 4 stars in them, as visual browsing is meaningless without a minimum number of stars.

BUG: Discovered By/Discovered ON not populated

It appears the info sidebar is not populating Discovered BY for some systems. This seems to occur rarely and is noticed to occur when the discovered ON date is not populated. Example AGT Holbere . More investigation will continue to see if other data produces similar results.

Feature Suggestion: Region cluster label

I wonder if the 'region clusters could be named according the most documented region in the group. eg. if a cluster contains Yihelli, then we just say Regions near Yihelli as it has the highest record count

Feature Request: Search for System on NAVI screen

Suggestion: If user presses Q (for query), bring up a pop up query box to allow a user to type a system name to center the view on. Ideally the search box could show a list of autocomplete suggestions but a basic search match box would suffice. After pressing enter to search, the screen would shift to focus and select the required system OR display an error pop up message for no match.

Feature Suggestion: Toggle star population circles

It is now possible from the AGT DB to extract a field for #of bases in each system on the system DB table. The # of bases is dynamically updated.

It is suggested that it will be helpful to see at a glance which system stars have populations, perhaps by layering circles around the star that has bases. For example:
1 circle : 1-3 bases
2 circles: 4-10 bases
3 circles: 11-20 bases
4 circles: >20 bases

System Information Sidebar Data Population Issue

A bug report here on AGT Navi:
Region observed: Louyen, Hilbert Dimension.

Observation: Some (not all) purple systems (inter-region systems) appear to show correct name on the map display, but the detailed pop up window seems to be picking up wrong data for some of the purple stars.

Example: Purple star display for AGT Nerimar (not louyen but nearby) with coordinates 0802:0086:0804:0134 is displaying correct name on map display but pulling up info for AGT Lexando, 0802:0086:0805:0134 (notice one address difference)
Some other purple stars display correct popup info

Feature Suggestion: Loading Screen Progress

Provide some indication of activity progressing besides the rotating AGT logo. If its not possible to show a percantage progress, then at least a running counter indicating number of records processed. This will give users comfort something is happening.
