Before it's possible to decide on a front-end framework some though must be put into what the UI will ultimately look like and therefore what sort of functionality should be expected. Since at heart this application will be a game some weight should be given to .js game frameworks.

There must be instructions on how to do this in the readme

There's a strong case to be made for using Python over other languages to create the back end due to the readily available finance packages and massive scientific libraries that will help make advanced computations more efficient.

More research is necessary to decide which framework best suits our purposes.

Strictly speaking this isn't gated check in but preliminary research tells me that it's probably the most straightforward approximation available on GitHub.
