  • intro to github version control system
  1. these are my changes from my local repository
  2. creating branch hotfix/UCT-123

commands

  1. git branch : to list all the branch
  2. git branch NewBranch : to create a NewBranch
  3. git checkout NameOfBranch: to move to the branch NameOfBranch
  4. git commit -am "commit message" : to save on stage and commit
  5. git push origin main (main is the branch where you wanna push your modificaton) : to push you modification from Git to GitHub
  6. git pull origin main (main is the branch we wanna pull from) : to pull a file from main(GitHub) to Git
