I've been trying to run this for the last hour but still facing this problem. I also have Win 10 VM, when I run exe there, it runs successfully but does not bypass VM.

Hi, I have Parallels (Virtual Machine) run on my 2019 Macbook laptop.
I followed instruction from the github page and still cannot run the program.

First: I downloaded the c++ program you linked me too from a previously closed issue ticket.
Second: I downloaded (under README page) the latest version of ThreateningYeti and YetiLoader. It downloaded as a zip folder called "Release.zip" I extracted that folder and inside was "ThreateningYeti.dll" and "YetiLoader". I was not able to open "ThreateningYeti.dll", and I was able to open YetiLoader if I run as admin.

Third: When I ran YetiLoader as admin it popped up a page with an error message and automatically closed can you please help me?! I have an exam in 2 days.

Maybe they find lockdown browser is easy to crack, we change another software - proctertract.
If the priciple and theory of them are same, would you mind to crack this?

Sorry, I'm a newb to GitHub and came across your holy grail of a project for this damn piece of spyware. I'm curious -- does this actually work? And what are the chances of me getting actually caught by this? I'm worried that it'll track my alt+tab movements or force close me out due to suspicious behaviour. Also, I don't use a VM -- should I use that for a safety precaution or is it fine just as is? Sorry that this isnt an issue but I just dont know where to ask since this is a new project and all.

When using alt tab during the exam. A warning pops up about swipe gesture. The respondus lockdown browser automatically closes after 2 warnings.

normal alt tab is not functioning properly after running it.
also i couldn't get task manager and have option to turn off computer
I've resolved everything but alt tab.
instead of usual alt tab windows, it's showing alt alt tab windows old style looking.
maybe my computer reacted to this script differently

Good day, I would like to thank melotic for this wonderful app, I was wondering since a previous issue addressed the data recording for mouse and keyboard input, if the code will also bypass webcam and face detection flags sent by respondus monitor during examinations.

@melotic Good Morning :) I know you are aware of many people stating that they load their exams through chrome/their school website as opposed to through lockdown browser app. Was wondering if we can get an update on the following two issues/requests as next week a lot of us have huge exams!

Issue/Request2: Making Program Work For Those Who Can Only Load The Exams Through Chrome First
Also I noticed you updated a section for funding/patreon, I am willing to donate any requested amount to make any of the requests above to work!

Currently, we hook two functions from lockdown entirely:

• DisableTaskManager
• CheckActiveWindow

Hooking these entire functions can have some hidden consequences and a means for detection, instead, we should primarily focus on hooking only the Windows API.

I am requesting (if possible) for this program to work when a quiz/exam is open through google chrome. In my state at least, all universities who use lockdown browser only have it activated whenever the student opens the quiz/exam through the link available on their campus canvas.

Our school uses 1:1 iPads rather than laptops. Is there a way to make lockdown think self lock is on, when it isn't ? Jailbreaking isn't a problem.

Hi, the 2.06.03 bugfix version of Yetiloader will automatically shut down the lockdown browser when I opened it. However, if I run the 2.06.03 version(not the bugfix version), it is compatible. Maybe I am running the older Win 10? Also, is there any way or function to inspect the web code in the lockdown browser? Btw, we all very appreciate your efforts to us.

According to the Respondus website https://web.respondus.com/privacy/privacy-additional-monitor/, mouse, keyboard and screen activity is monitored by the LockDown Browser. Does ThreateningYeti currently filter user input such that keyboard inputs are only recorded while the browser is in view, and screen activity limited only to the browser window?

Was in room with other people using same connection, but not yeti. Could this have been caused by respondus antisecuritY?/

Hello I am trying out ThreateningYeti on my Windows desktop with the latest version of Responsus Lockdown Browser (2.0.6.06).
It does not seem to be working, pressing alt-tab doesn't let me change app and my secondary monitor is also completely covered by a blank window, will you be fixing this any time soon? Is it working for anybody running the latest version of the browser?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but how am I supposed to install MinHook as a static package with vcpkg? I've downloaded both of their master folders but I'm not sure what to do from here. A MinHook installation is necessary for ThreateningYeti to work, correct? Sorry for wasting anyone's time with this question that likely has a simple answer.

Without a MinHook installation, when I run YetiLoader as an admin from the same folder that the browser is located in, my browser opens for a split second and then closes while my taskbar remains hidden. My taskbar only reappears when I execute the actual browser again.

First of all, thank you so much for your project and contributions! I wanted to ask you, I may need to use ThreateningYeti in the future. I am going to run it & Lockdown in a VM since I run pretty much everything I dont fully understand or control in a VM. I am sure that Lockdown may start looking for ThreateningYeti as a process and I wanted to ask, do you have any recommendations or steps to run Lockdown? For example, Running Yeti as a SYSTEM account to make sure it has full control over Lockdown? (I assume that means Lockdown would also have SYSTEM too?)

When I run yetiloader, I can't select my browser lockdown oem.

I am using version 2.0.5.00.

I think #2 is the same issue as mine.

I can only open my lockdown browser with chrome.

Our school runs LockDown version 2.0.5.00 and does not give us the option to use an updated version of the browser. Could you create a version that supports that version of LDB or does another version already support it?

Sorry, i cannot run this program. I'm using the latest lcokdown browser and the latest version of YetiLoader. However, after i running this program and lockdown browser is oepned, my bottom taskbar on the computer disappears. Then, lockdown browser close automatically. How should I do?

ps: maybe i don't know how to use YetiLoader correctly. after the taskbar is concealed, i can take my exam on chrome? the answer is no, becasue we can only take our exam on lockdown browser, if on chrome, it will say you cannot open this exam.

this issue, I cant solve it

Using Respondus version 2.0.6.05 and Windows 10
I redownloaded Yetiloader yesterday.

With yetiloader, i can still do webcam check and follow pre-instructions.
However, when i click to start exam, yetiloader and respondus shut down and nothing happens.
Alt-tabbing and windows key still work.
I have to logoff from windows and login again because taskbar is still missing.

Any idea how to fix the problem?

I'm using vmware + win 8.1 + LDB 2.0.6.05 + the latest release on here. Yeti gets to "Blocked call to check VM" and the browser gets to the loading screen, then it crashes with "LDB has stopped working" window. How to fix?

BTW, is there any hope for just packet scanning this? figure out the API used to get the password/whatever other crypto, figure out the correct headers to set, and not bother with an entire new VM.

Is there additional steps I need to be taking other then just running the .exe?

When I try to start the app, the window opens but then I get an error message "YetiLoader.exe has stopped working". I tried running it as an admin, but same result. With out the loader, the Browser starts without any problems
System is Win7 64bit
LockDownBrowser 2.06.05
YetiLoader is the most recent release
