This repository contains the source code for the Move.mil website, the official portal to the Defense Personal Property System (DPS). DPS is an online system managed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and is used by service members and their families to manage household goods moves.

This version of Move.mil was built in support of USTRANSCOM's mission. This website's source code is made available to the open source community with the hope that community contributions will improve functionality, add features, and mature this work.

Each quarter there is a new Traffic Distribution List (TDL) file(s) from US TRANSCOM containing the new discounts that need to be applied by the PPM tool.

1. They will send the file(s) through the AMRDEC Safe Access File Exchange Tool.
2. The files will be available at AMRDEC. Follow the instructions from the e-mail you will receive.
3. There are 2 types of TDL files. The Peak (PK) discounts and the Non-Peak (NP). PK contains the discounts that are effective in the immediate quarter. NP are discounts after the immediate quarter in case a user is moving more than 3 months ahead, these are subject to change after the current quarter ends.
4. Go to Move.mil and log in with your admin user.
5. Navigate to the Parser Admin.
6. Expand Discounts tab.
7. Choose the PK file.
8. Set the effective date with the first day of the immediate quarter.
9. If you don't need the previous data to remain there, check the Clear table checkbox. Otherwise leave it uncheck.
10. Click Save configuration.
11. Repeat the previous steps for the NP file if available.

Each 2 weeks there is a new XML file with location updates from US TRANSCOM containing corrections or addition of addresses, phones, or e-mail addresses.

1. They will upload the file on Pivotal.
2. Go to Move.mil and log in with your admin user.
3. Navigate to the Parser Admin.
4. Expand Locations tab.
5. Choose the XML file.
6. All the Drupal locations that have a CNSL_ORG_ID will be updated.
7. This tool DOES NOT add new locations, in case a new location is missing in Drupal, it will need to be added manually.
8. This tool DOES NOT remove old locations, in case of a mistake it will need to be removed manually.
