In the event data is having a hard time getting out, data will likely travel across splinternet until someone gets a working mobile data connection. Once they do, it would be very nice to upload the data to the real internet to alert the rest of the world what is going on.

Ideas:

1. Ability to submit images to Picasa/Twitter/MMS/etc.
2. Ability to Retweet text to identi.ca/twitter/etc.
   Currently there appears to be no way to do this.

I think this project would be an excellent addition to F-Droid. In order to be compliant a "COPYRIGHT" file will with an open-source license will need to be included in the sources. Then you just submit it to F-Droid via their site.

Does anyone have experience with Wifi Direct? Would love to find out if we could do fast and automatic syncing to peers without pairing or other user interaction.

Interesting project - but there's no particular licence on the code, which might hold back contributors. If indeed you're interested in other people contributing code.
