pairbox's Introduction

Start Xvnc:

Xtigervnc -localhost -geometry 1920x1080 -SecurityTypes None :1

or:

vncpasswd
Xtigervnc -localhost -geometry 1920x1080 :0 -PasswordFile .vnc/passwd

Start clients:

DISPLAY=:1 i3
DISPLAY=:1 vncconfig -nowin

Both server and clients (needs config files in ~/.vnc):

tigervncserver -fg :1

ssh config:

Host pairbox
     User pairbox
     Hostname <ip>
     Port 4444
     LocalForward 5901 localhost:5901

vnc viewer:

vncviewer --RemoteResize=0 --DesktopSize=1900x1000 --DotWhenNoCursor=1 --Shared=1 localhost:1

on a mac:

open vnc://localhost:5901

Copy the volume to HOST:

docker run --rm -v pairbox-home:/from debian:unstable tar -C /from -cz . | ssh HOST docker run --rm -i -v pairbox-home:/to debian:unstable tar -C /to -xzv
