My dot files

Contains scripts to:

  • set up bash, atom, ssh, macports, matplotlib & aspell libs
  • everything is automatically backed up once a week with a cron job (se git_run.sh)

use

./install_files.sh
./generate_ssh_key.sh.sh
./git_run.sh

to stop all the sudo password for macports (NB. this doesn't stop all the Y/N questions

sudo su
install_ports.sh

Fonts...

On the latest mac, the Helvetica ttf fonts need to be copied to /Library/Python/3.7/site-packages/matplotlib/mpl-data/fonts/ttf
