iOS-Object-Recognition

An exploration of object recognition on iOS using OpenCV and Amazon AWS

Running the server

  1. Open a cmd prompt and navigate to the ObjRecServer directory
  2. Execute the command 'php checkAndRun.php'
  3. The server should be operational

Running the application

  1. Using an iOS device or the iOS simulator build the application with Xcode
  2. After launching select either the Recognize or Add Object tab, depending on the desired function
  3. Select an image from the Camera or Library
  4. Press the Recognize or Add Object button to begin the process
  5. A message should be received within 10 seconds.
