buildroot's Issues

Meta: Please add short description to this repo

@maximeh That TL;DR summary does help in locating this repo in internal/external search engines. Just using A simple, efficient and easy-to-use tool to generate embedded Linux systems through cross-compilation (from the 1st line of long description) should work perfectly.

roots overlay path is not correctly created and not recognized.

Hi,

I tried to use rootfs overlays, but i think there might be a problem with your Makefile.
As recommended i used the following directory structure:

+-- board/
| +-- <company>/
| +-- <boardname>/
| +-- rootfs_overlay/

So that the BR2_ROOTFS_OVERLAY string is: board/<company>/<boardname>/rootfs_overlay
The result should be /home/<user>/buildroot/board/<company>/<boardname>/rootfs_overlay
but it is /home/<user>/buildroot**//**board/<company>/<boardname>/rootfs_overlay
This leads to a error, because there is no such directory. I tried to fix it by myself the path myself, but even if get the path right it fails with the same error message.

My system is a Virtual Machine with 12.04 Ubuntu.

If its my mistake, please tell me the solution because its really annoying to insert all the files again and again :D

Regards,
Pascal
