drawview's Issues

Can't build as it stands

In a fresh checkout:

$ ./configure
configure: error: cannot find sources (config.h.in) in . or ..

Files don't load

I've encountered a few Acorn Draw files that don't load up in drawview. I've attached them as broke_files.zip

I'm not sure if they are corrupted, or if it's just a format/variant that drawview doesn't support.

Build from clean checkout fails

configure works fine, then:

$ make
CDPATH="${ZSH_VERSION+.}:" && cd . && /bin/bash /home/rrt/repo/drawview/missing aclocal-1.15

/home/rrt/repo/drawview/missing: line 81: aclocal-1.15: command not found
WARNING: 'aclocal-1.15' is missing on your system.
You should only need it if you modified 'acinclude.m4' or
'configure.ac' or m4 files included by 'configure.ac'.
The 'aclocal' program is part of the GNU Automake package:
http://www.gnu.org/software/automake
It also requires GNU Autoconf, GNU m4 and Perl in order to run:

make: *** [aclocal.m4] Error 127

Command line conversion

Awesome app!

I'd LOVE to see a command line app that can convert to SVG with drawview-convert <input> <out.svg> to simply convert the input file directly to an SVG file, with no GUI.

I've currently hacked it up the code on my side to do this, but it's pretty messy code and not worthy of a pull request.

Missing Makefile.in

Personally, I'd not check files like configure and Makefile.in into git; rather, I'd require that users run autoreconf to generate them.

Command-line version

Hi martenjj,

This looks like a really great project - I'm looking for a command-line tool to convert an archive of old Acorn DrawFiles to SVG files (or similar) for long-term preservation.

I would love to use drawview, which seems to be capable of doing this, but right now I'm being held back by the really hefty install requirements of this package - i.e. KDE and Qt5. For those of us who don't need a graphical user interface - and don't want to install the whole of KDE in order to compile a command-line tool - would you be able to produce a cut-down version that only builds the command-line tool, and doesn't depend on Qt5?

Thanks so much for writing this tool,

Dominic
