Feature Request: add M240 code for time-lapse photography about marlin HOT 5 CLOSED

IMHO this feature doesn't belong in the firmware but in the GCode sender. Which could just take a photo when the Z value changes.

You're missing the point of the gcode - this is shooting a picture with an actual camera, not a webcam attached to the PC. As such, there is some hardware required to trigger the camera.

In any case, the request is really for a general method of changing a digital output via a gcode command.

Then change it into a "SET DIGITAL IO" and "CLEAR DIGITAL IO" commands with an S parameter for which digital IO? In combination with G4 you can create the same effect but with less specialized code in the controller then.
