I created a CLI tool to solve the problem, you can run npm i -g nosync-icloud to install. Then use ns command in your project folder. It will handle node_modules automatically. More details here.

Awesome script, works like a charm! Thank you for making this.
Is it possible to add multiple paths? If I run the script again, it will just change the path right?
For example, I have some projects in /Projects but also in /Clients, so would want projects to be synced to /cloud/projects and clients to /cloud/clients.

Of course I could just move them to a parent directory, but would be cool if its easy to implement :)

Thanks for a GREAT idea :) I've just installed you script and it doesn't seem to do anything :/ I check the paths twice and nothing get synced in neither direction. The log files are also empty.

Is that maybe a "High Sierra" issue?

Not sure if you still have issues with this but I found your project when trying to solve this issue for myself - I ended up making an Automator utility to achieve a similar result: https://github.com/tsdexter/iCloud-NoSync
